Close to Vulcania and the regional volcano park, the Pays de Riom-Limagne is a land of diversity and contrasts. It stretches between fertile fields, green valleys and winding gorges before rising towards the mountains.
A plunging view then opens on the Limagne plain, where the shimmering colours of wheat, maize, rape and sunflower fields offer a beautiful mosaic, sprinkled with hedges, groves, rows of poplars and gracious undulating country.
According to the season, the colour of the sky, the time of the day, depending whether one faces East or admires the rounded silhouette of the Chaïne des Puys and its 80 volcanoes, the panoramas are surprising and each time an enchantment!
The landscape bears traces of intense volcanic activity, that left a legacy of treasures : water, stone and black fertile earth.
In this setting, with pigeon houses and dove-cots, castles and stately houses, towns and villages of character, where churches rise to the glory of Romanesque art, people practice the arts of fire and stone.
Come to visit and discover! Walk along paths according to your fancy! By foot, on a horse or on a mountain bike, many marked paths will lead you to the heart of this region where you will discover genuine treasures.
Fishermen can tease the trout while others can try golfing, go-karting, or enjoy a swim.
